Clay Palmetto Group was founded and led by Joaquin Clay, a retired U.S. Army Special Operations NCO who specialized in Psychological Operations and tactical medicine. Bringing the same discipline, leadership, and commitment to excellence that defined his military service, Joaquin built and led a veteran-owned real estate team that quickly rose to the top 1% of Realtors in South Carolina.

Under his leadership, the team delivered outstanding results for clients while maintaining a strong focus on integrity, stewardship, and community impact. Guided by his Christian faith, Joaquin infused biblical principles of service into every aspect of the business, including a commitment to donate a meaningful portion of proceeds to vetted Christian organizations.

After achieving significant success in real estate, Joaquin has transitioned the team to inactive status to pursue a new chapter of service. He is now preparing to attend USC School of Medicine Columbia to become a PA, continuing his lifelong commitment to serving his community in a deeper and more impactful way.

While Clay Palmetto Group is no longer actively conducting real estate transactions, Joaquin remains deeply grateful for the clients and community members he served. He is happy to offer guidance and recommendations to past clients or anyone in the Midlands seeking a trusted realtor for specific needs — with no fees or obligation. His passion has always been helping people, and he continues to do so through both his past work in real estate and his work in medicine.
